Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Kohl's Dept Store has an ad that reads:
Every family and/or circle of friends has at least one person who hates the holidays. This person starts to get cranky right after Halloween and doesn't stop moaning until after New Years. It's the too-cool-for-family-celebrations teen or the too-good-for-a-mainstream-holiday intellectual. This person hates the lights, the mistletoe, the eggnog and even the presents. But most of all, they hate that sappy holiday cheer. Bah, humbug, indeed. But don't let "I hate holidays" types get you down, especially when you're tasked with buying them gifts. Kohl has many selected items, but we think BLENKO GLASS http://www.blenkoglass.com/ ornaments are the answer. Even scrooge loves Blenko Glass

Note: Photo of set of 3 - Blenko Collector Series and photo of signed numbered Blenko Glass ornament painted by M. Lemley. Exclusive BLENKO GLASS http://www.blenkoglass.com/ designs.

Visit BLENKO GLASS website frequently, webmaster Terri changes the site often, and COUPONS for $$$ off are almost always available http://www.blenkoglass.com/.

The WVU Mountaineers won!!!!!!! What a great way for Pat White to finish his football career with WVU. I'll be anxious to see what the Pat White "Don Lemley" piece sold for.

Hilary are you on vacation?
I am commenting w/o seeing my comments or your post.
'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilib rium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!'

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any othe r he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God.'

Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your e-mail list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by the world. (It's worth a try!) One Nation Under God.

Item number:120341507687
One of a Kind "
Still at 81 dollars and you should be writing about this
so a WVU alum can buy it instead of an internet rat.

I woke up to a chilly 73 degree morning, brought my tea to the computer and poof my disappointment began. No Blenko news? No entertaining stories, no pics to capture my pocketbook and my imagination.

Dear Anonymous,

To add to Paul Harvey's list, another thing our country has lost is civility. We are not civil to one another. We can get so caught up in what we want that we do not care how our actions affect those around us. Lack of civility is why the man got trampled to death at Wal-mart on Black Friday. Lack of civility is why people stop their cars in lanes of traffic to figure out where they need to turn-- as opposed to taking two minutes to pull off the road and get their bearings. Lack of civility is why in a recent post, some "anonymous" told Hilary to "get off your a** and post the blog and the comments....."

"Lack of civility" makes me glad I do not manage a blog.

Hats off to you and your parents Hillary. You are a young person who understands civility.

Called to order the box ornaments
they are not available.
What is Blenko's problem?
Hilary your desire for their success is not enough to keep the company running.
