Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Your Holiday Decorations

Christmas Trees and Decorations ! Please send your photos for sharing to theblenkoproject@aol.com

When I was a child my Montessori school was filled with ethnicity's and religious backgrounds my classmates were Muslim, Bahia, Jewish, Germans, Ethiopian, Saudi Arabian and East Indian all attending a pre school located in a Catholic Church. We looked forward to sharing holidays , learning of traditions and sharing treats from one an others families.

From this Montessori Classroom I developed an interest in the world and world cultures and traditions. Sometimes we forget how very different our traditions are from one region of the US to another or even from Northern WV to Southern WV. those Northern WV people don't seem to enjoy biscuits and gravy nearly as much as my southern relatives.

Anyway - all this to say. Send your photos of TREES, your decorations, regardless of how small or elaborate. If there is a story and you want to share. Please do so. If your tree is filled with BLENKO great - if not this is OK also.

NOTE: I'm still looking for photos of BLENKO FISH, BLENKO AND WV LAMPS, ASH TRAYS<>

Unusual or one of a kind Blenko. Also if you know anyone with the overly large Blenko Lamps 40inches plus I've heard about - please send info to theblenkoproject@aol.com Thanks.
