Fiesta College Logo Items

Few years ago I found a water pitcher in one of my favorite shops, the owner said it was hand made in WV . I'm thinking it may be made by Blenko. I' m attachn a photo of a Blenko pitcher with WVU logo. Can you tell me when this was made? Also what is the value? Lorrie Edes

Lorrie, Your water pitcher is a Fiesta Logo water pitcher. Fiesta began doing college logo items about 3 years ago.

I'm posting photos of Fiesta college logo items. Note photo #2 a water pitcher similar to the one you own.

The Fiesta is affordable
the Blenko is not.
Last year we drove to the factory near Moundsville and bought Marshall glass for pennies on the dollar.
Does Blenko put the logo items on sale?

weekend I saw The Thorn Birds
spent 8 hours watching this melodrama.
The intro is very much blenko inspired ( or whatever your love obsession may be) I copy below for each of you.
Long Ago, there was a bird who sang just once in its life.

From the moment it left its nest, it searched for a thorn tree.

and it never rested until it found one.

Then it began to sing more sweetly

than any other creature on the face of the earth.

And singing, it impaled its breast on the longest, sharpest thorn.

But as it was dying, it rose above its own agony

to out-sing the lark and the nightingale.

The thorn bird pays its life for that one song

and the whole world stills to listen

and God, in His heaven ~smiles.

As its best was bought only at the cost of great pain.

Driven to the thorn, with no knowledge of the dying to come.

But when we press the thorn to our breast,

We know........

We understand.....

And still......we do it.
