Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Black Glass by Blenko Glass

Ebony Glass is a collectors delight. Some collectors only buy ebony. Blenko made Ebony (black glass) several times, never for more than 2 consecutive years. Ebony hasn't been by catalog in 5 or more years.
Like Ruby, good Rose, and good tangerine - the Ebony - when you can find -is more costly. Below are photos of Ebony Glass from my personal collection hjh. An example of ebony ( older) is on display in the Blenko Museum ( 2nd floor of Blenko Glass Visitor Center & gift Shop). Black (ebony) water bottles can be found in vintage shops for under $50.
