It's a #5732 Mermaid Decanter. One of the more difficult to find vintage designs. It is a very interesting piece, but she's no beauty. Chalk it up to Wayne Husted to come up with this design. They come up for sale on eBay once every blue moon, and they go for hundreds of dollars.

I like that decanter also-
Hillary perhaps once week you can
post things that we should buy from ebay like this mermaid!
I don't have time to look everyday
and often don't know if it is really
Blenko.

Richard is holding #597 vase. Also know as the "Blob Vase". This design would be etched on the bottom. They usually go for $150-$200. This is also another Wayne Husted design. Husted has a couple of other designs that incorporate blobs. If you get a chance purchase or check out from the library "Blenko Cool 50s and 60s Designs 2nd Ed" By Leslie Pina. It's pretty good for the beginning collector.
