Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Ooooh I wish I had Cable now, Rachel Ray and Blenko all in one! Can't beat that :)

I'm wondering if anyone could help me with a piece I'm attempting to ID and Blenko/Not Blenko. It's an Amberina Pitcher with a Panel Optic and a Reeded handle. It measures about 8 1/2" tall and 9" in diameter at the widest point. It has a rough pontil on the bottom which is slightly concave.

Thanks for any light anyone can shed on it.

I hope Rachel-Ray shows us how to cook Frog today while she is showing us the Blenko glass. It would look nice all fried-up on a nice piece of Blenko. I hear it's good. Blenko glass would be a good way to serving dinner my frog says it is all in the presentation.

I think blenko stuff is cool. I always liked glass art and wanted to visit some glass musuems around the country. Glass frog looks really cool too. One of my friends (Bridgett) invited me to this blog and said good things about it. So, here I am. Good Work.
