Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Bill Blenko Drive

It's Official - At 7:20 last evening the Senate approved the House Bill to create BILL BLENKO DRIVE. The road leading to Blenko Glass will have an official name change - BILL BLENKO DRIVE.
This proposal passed without a negative vote or debate. Great Idea! Blenko Glass Company has been located in Milton for close to a century .

Hilly,
Great idea! I had the street that passes my clinic renamed for ME several years ago.
Egomanic = me.
WH Blenko being a non egomaniac waited 80 years and then only after a petition of supporters.
Met him last year at the VC was impressed with his knowledge of 'sports'.

It is about time you slapped Solomons fingers for messing up your name.
Now I will add my question, it is also obnoxious and personal, where do you find the time to do this?
I remember med school as being all comsuming, little time for anything except the occassional glass of wine and weekend party.

Hillary,

Good News. Bill Blenko Drive shud be a great place to walk, lookaround and shop. Are there any pictures available for the street anywhere?

Bridgett,
I know what you mean by not having time at Med school; Must be tough with very less personal and social life.
