Vintage Wheeling WVa Glass

Where to find that VINTAGE glass? If you can't get out or don't have the time to get out, or the money to just hire someone to find the item? EBAY seems to be one answer. This Vintage Wheeling Glass item is currently on Ebay for a very reasonable price. While I promote buying locally - check out Ebay. Look for local sellers, and ask your friends who is a reliable seller.
Description provided by seller follows:

Full Water Set (7 pieces) from the collectible line that Weishar Enterprises introduced in 1993. The collectible lines were made from the original moulds and only slightly altered to include the Weishar signature. The signature is that of the late Joseph J. Weishar (the creator of the moon and star glass you have come to love and collect over the years.
This set includes the pitcher and 6 water or tea glasses. It is in Mint condition. PERFECT! Pitcher is about 8 1/4" tall at highest point. The glasses stand about 5 1/2" tall.
I have spoke with a person from Weishar Enterprises this week and was told that this water set is called the Apple Green Opal Water Set ... Produced in 1996 ... There were only 53 total of these sets made. Very Very Limited Addition. He also let me know that they were selling for over $500.00 10 years ago. I was told that to get another or run across another one of these, chances would be 0 to none. I was very fortunate to find this at a local estate sale. It is absolutely Gorgeous and my camera could not catch all its beauty. The opalescence is just lovely.
FYI: The moon and star design (also known as "the palace" is a Victorian Pattern which was first introduced in the 1800's. The pattern was very popular, but due to the heaviness of the glass, transporting it by stagecoach was difficult and not practical. The pattern was produced only for a short time. It was actually President Abraham Lincoln's favorite piece and was collected by the late Kate Smith. In the 1960's approximate ten of the original pieces were reproduced by Joseph J. Weishar of Wheeling, West Virginia. The Moon & Star design was incorporated into thirty to forty new items which were sold nationwide for several years. In 1988, Weishar Enterprises introduced half-scale miniatures of both the Victorian and later contemporary pieces. 1993 the collectible line was introduced (made in full size). That is where this set comes from.....
ONLY 53 MADE..... IT IS A CHANCE TO HAVE ONE OF THE RAREST MOON AND STAR WATER SETS EVER MADE.
