Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

info@greenbrierwv.com Thinking of a Short Weekend Trip VISIT WEST VIRGINIA
This weekend the Darts - 5 girls who met as freshman in college will part take of the
Ghost Hunt, The Taste of Lewisburg and other activities in the Greenbrier Valley this weekend.
WVU and Marshall will have football games.

The Pumpkin Festival in Milton will be the #1 event for those not attending the games.
This is set to be a great fall weekend. The leaves are changing the nights are just a bit chilly ( bring sweaters) however, the sun will be out today and each day of the weekend!

This is the time of year when we bring out our fall tableware and set up the display of glass fruits and veggies. In the move from Columbus, I lost a couple pumpkin, a gourd and a pear, if like me, you need to replace items or you want to add a new Pumpkin, or start a collection of glass fruit and veggies this is the best time of year to do so. The selection is
large. Blenko has been making pumpkins for weeks. Give Blenko (304 743 9081) a call to place a phone order, or go to the Pumpkin Festival or better yet drive down to Blenko Glass in Milton. www.blenkoglass.com open 24/7.

If you don't see what you need. Ask the ladies when it might be available or do a special order. Remember Blenko Glass wants you as a customer, they want to keep you happy.

Special orders may take 4-6 weeks.

Two comments.
#1) I like the cartoon of you holding the pumpkin your boyfriend is very talented. #2)The Darts are you Tri Sig members?
Years ago long before you were born, I was a tri sig reject. Three friends and formed a group we called our Mays as we spend Saturday nites at Mays studying.
I am delighted to say we are now all 80+ we were all married to wonderful men we had good careers, good successful children and the best of grandchildren.
Thank you for the Dart note. I wonder if it gave others a pause to walk back in time.

Greek hey days are over
after the 90s.
Young people don't much care about these things.
My grandchildren would think of pledging. I tried but they refused.
Margie did you ask your children to pledge?
Did your children attend Marshall also?
Do you bleed green?
Or did Tri Sig turn you away from West Virginia?
Tom K.
just curious
BTW I also like the graphic
Mays made the best sweets.

7 friends from my med school and residency get together yearly for a cruise, we call ourselves
Ladies of the Sea!
We've done this for more than a decade. Promise me you will keep your Darts together come hell or high water. Do they collect Blenko? Not one of my LOTS do all consider this one of my odd behaviors.
I must ask do you all stay in the Greenbrier for this weekend? Do they sell Blenko in any of the gift shops?
FYI when were were there last year with a Med event, someone told me at one time in the Draper cafe they use blenko pitchers exclusively. The same gentleman told us he was attempting to use WV and American made glassware.

Note to Sweetdoc

You Go Hillary!
Excellent art work Glen.
I was in the shops of greenbrier in March. Nothing made in West Virginia.
We did enjoy the WV basketball greats steak house. The entire town is a step back in time. An antique shoppers paradise.
I saw no Blenko, but did find a set of fostoria candle sticks and silver spoon for my collection.
