Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Blenko.

Hilary We're attempting to 'clean' our parents home. They have over 100o pieces of crystal from Blenko. We'd like to sell, can you help? What is the value? Georgia Georgia, The Blenko pictured is known as the Williamsburg Collection. Check Glass Replacement for values. Vindictive and other V words that mean nasty intolerable.
The people who support Blenko are bi polar.
You all love Blenko when its down and then fail to be supportive of the factory when it isn't.
You buy and sell old and new glass, with little thought of the success of the factory.
Try buying new Blenko, try saying only positive things - "remember the lessons from you Mom- there is some positive in everything"
Be nice - it'll return to you 10 fold.
Blenko is a unique factory that might not survive any where else.
The mentality of the local workers is superior - this is the reason for success.
I dunno and could care less about the management - I can't see how as a collector it is any of my business.
I want quality glass, shipped on time, and I want my glasses all the same size.
I want the color to be clear and consistent from order to order.
I don't care if the management is nice not nice or does or doesn't smile.
I do miss the former VC crew
those women knew glass, and knew what was and wasn't available and where to find it.
The current crew - well, last year I said they were new - this time around I think they just aren't interested and this too is OK.
Its life.
Not everyone will share our passion for hand crafted glass, not even the ladies employed by Blenko.
Stop making insults, start being positive.

New paving is planned throughout, often using permeable materials to capture rainwater. Blenko glass could be integrated into the pavement, Kyber said.

Great news - glass lady this is for the Slack Plaza

I TALKED TO SHORTY FINLEY RECENTLY
HE IS NOT AWARE OF HIS PHOTO AND GLASS WORKS SHOWN ON INTERNET.
IT WOULD BE NICE IF HILLARY COULD MAKE HIM A PHOTO ALBUM OF HIS GLASS CREATION AND CO-WORKERS FROM
THE PICTURES SHOWN ABOUT "WHO IS SHORTY FINLEY" FOR KEEPSAKE
I TOLD HIM HE WAS FAMOUS, HE LAUGHS
AND SAID YES I PUT IN A LOT OF YEARS AND ENJOYED IT.
HE WAS A VAULED EMPLOYEE.
THANK YOU
MARIETTA

And yes, not to forget that India celebrates its world cup cricket win right now as I am writing this mail to you. Almost a fifth of this earth's population rejoices today on its victory over Sri Lanka. Watching that match today with my Indian friend and his friends was quite fun. And sweet Hillary I don't hate Pakistan. I pity them and hope that Pakistan prospers as much as it can. We should never forget that peace in Pakistan means peace in India and also seriously hope that both countries will forget their differences someday. Though I don't really think that'll happen in our lifetimes thanks to radical, fundamentalist Islamic philosophy.

And I am right now just in the process of settling down here so will soon get to know an address.
Say hello to my blogger sisters for me.
Take care all.
