Press Release
Weston, WV – The 13th annual Marble Festival scheduled for May 2nd at the Community Building in Cairo, WV has an extra attraction this year. The expected 300 to 500 attendees will have the opportunity to view examples of marbles from The National Marble Museum Collection exhibit which is concurrently opening at its new home at the Museum of American Glass in West Virginia in Weston, WV. The exhibit, which curator Dean Six refers to as "awesome", runs May 1 though September 30, 2009. It features a broad scope of handmade contemporary marbles, American machine made marbles, classic European marbles as well as images, artifacts and games. Visitors will see items ranging from a first century glass Roman marble to well documented examples of Playrite, MF Christensen, Champion Agates, Marble King, Vitro Agates, Davis Marble Works, Akro and all of the major American marble producers. The announcement of the relocation of this collection from California was made at last year’s Fest and now it is on display for all to appreciate.
This year’s Marble Festival will focus on and honor marble maker ALOX of Missouri. As always there will be buying, selling, trading and displays about marbles as well as marble related toys and accessories. Games and marble making history add to the enjoyment of the day. Free marble identification is always popular with collectors who also appreciate free set-up, parking and admission. Homemade food on-site is another well-liked feature of the Fest.
Dean Six, who plans and executes the Festival, expects many marble enthusiasts to visit the museum in Weston to view the National Marble Museum Collection while they are in the area. Both adults and children can enjoy seeing the marbles, and play some games, from 12-4 pm, seven days a week through September 30, 2009.

The Museum of American Glass in West Virginia is open year round noon to 4:00pm daily except major holidays. Admission is free. It is easily accessible off I-79 exit 99 onto US 33 West for two miles to Main Avenue. A left turn onto Main and the museum is on the left at 230 Main Avenue. Begun in 1992, the museum relocated to its present location in 2007 and occupies 12,000 square feet with over 7,000 pieces of glass on permanent display. The one time famed tattoo artist, Don Ed Hardy, is today ed hardy t shirts a clothes artist branding a whole new world of pop culture art clothing retailed cheap ed hardy through his shops located in his San Francisco ed hardy UK studio. Hardy commercializes his ed hardy clothes pop culture art through various popular clothing brands. The public ed hardy clothes appreciation of his art occasioned his appointment as a member of the San Francisco Cultural Arts Commission and also caused him to be a recipient of an honorary cheap ed hardy doctorate degree from the San Francisco Art Institute.

Ed Hardy's clothing line of pop culture art is a major thematic ed hardy expression of coolness and informality as a remedy to a world gone mad with materialism, consumerism, temporariness, immorality and mental insanity. Hardy's ed hardy clothing clothing art also clearly impresses an obligatory sense of the simplicity of life which was exactly what our ancestors ed hardy t shirts believed in and lived with in times past.

Hardy's pop culture branded products is ed hardy t shirts manufactured by Ku USA, Inc. and retailed in the USA as well as overseas; these include: Waikiki, Dubai, Kuwait, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Tuscon, New York, Houston, Tokyo, Singapore, Noosa, Melbourne, Sydney and Riga. The company plans ed hardy clothing to add New Delhi, Mumbai and Hamburg on its retail circuit. In 2004, Christian Audigier ed hardy t shirts purchased the license to manufacture and market Hardy's cheap ed hardy clothing brand of Von Dutch. However, Hardy's pop culture brands of clothing have been banned by several night ed hardy UK clubs in Vancouver because they associate this line of clothing with gang rivalries.

In 1982, Hardy and his wife diversified ed hardy clothing into the publication business while simultaneously ed hardy pursuing their literary talents by authoring and editing over twenty five books on cheap ed hardy alternative art. Additionally, Hardy organized various exhibitions ed hardy clothing for galleries, museums, non-profit organizations and universities. Hardy and his cheap ed hardy artistic works have also featured in the film and print media.
