HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEST VIRGINIA - 150 Years.

Blenko Glass Company  annual West Virginia Birthday Celebration

The Blenko Visitor Center will open for the celebration at 8 a.m. June 22 for the event.
The birthday piece "celebrates how West Virginians hold each other in their hearts," according to a news release from Blenko Glass Company Vice President Katie Trippe.
The piece is an ice blue color, and is 11 inches tall with a flared rim.
Only 150 pieces will be created, and they will be signed by both the designer, Arlon Bayliss, and Blenko President Walter Blenko, Jr. Both men will be at the event.
The piece is limited to one per customer on a first-come, first-served basis. No advanced telephone orders will be taken, and all customers will receive a commemorative West Virginia Day Collection Day Medallion while they last.
Birthday cake and refreshments will be served.

I got a text saying more than 100 people are already in line.
Any truth to this text?
I had planned to come after work tomorrow, getting there about 9pm
Can you check this out for me?

David
It is not Friday 11:46 and less than 50 people are here.
The first 12 came very early, Blenko changed the rules, now RVs are welcome on the parking lot for as long as needed.

My thought is if you arrive before 6am you'll get a vase. Other than in the mind of the collectors and Hilery this is not a major event.

I'll walk over around 6am, as always.
