The SPLURGE Revisited

This summer I wrote about THE SPLURGE and ask each of you what your SPLURGE would be. Mine was http://www.magnums.net/prod/LC1625VF/LClugg A Longchamp Red Travel Bag.

The red bag entered my life - this summer IVOR of IVOR's On Lee -819 Lee St. Charleston, W.Va. was the source of my bag. IVOR 's if you haven't been - is a small boutique, with upscale clothes and accessories.

The neatest thing about IVORS is if you want (need) something - like my LONGCHAMP BAG that isn't available in Charleston. IVOR will find it for you - and usually at discount.

While Holiday Shopping take a break from the Huntington Mall, the Charleston Town Center Mall and shop the downtown areas - there are many shops in Huntington and Charleston just waiting to be discovered.

If your travels take you to CHARLESTON, I recommend IVOR'S. If you don't see what you need - ask - in the back room he has designer bags, hair accessories etc.

When I'm home for the Holidays I plan to take IVOR a BLENKO Vase for his counter. . . color, quality, style....BLENKO and IVOR'S.
What's your SPLURGE ? The one item - if money were no object - you'd buy today?

An $800 bag is quiet expensive!
You may need to attach yourself to Sol - he can afford Longchamp and other major high end designers.
My own grandma told me "you can marry more money in 5 minutes than you can make in a lifetime"
I should mention I am not married.
Perhaps I am looking for a female Solomon.

One object I would buy if money were no object is a good CAT Scanner model # 2J-3746.
My next purchase of course would be a retirement home in Hawaii

You would be my splurge
treating you to whatever your heart desired for one afternoon.

You are so funny. Being Solomon's best friend is a great responsiblity.
My grandmother also had sayings:
"Be old enough to know what you want before marriage, and choose a career that will allow you to support yourself."
While Solomon is certainly flippant, and flippant is highly sought after characteristic, Its my belief that neither you nor I would be happy with a 'Solomon', living a simple, peaceful, happy live is my goal.
Thank you for your comments.

Well I'd buy my best girl the bag Hillary recommended and would forget to say how I hear of the bag but perhaps say I saw and was reminded of her beautiful white hair and thought how good red looks when carried by her.
Seniors don't often have these thoughts.
Thank you for inspiration.
Did you ever get this bag ? Was the one you bought a knock off? If so I think you deserve the real thing for V Day this year. Life is short Hilary. The 40s 50s 60s sneak up and overtake you.
