Blenko Glass, Fenton Glass, Wismack, most all Glass Companys recycle leftover glass often they sell these piece to smaller shops or crafts people who might melt the proudct to produce beads or small glass objects.
When you buy BLENKO GLASS or any GLASS product you are protecting the environment - a glass product has life - can be reused for ever (well almost forever) - - - plastic (OH WHY did we ever think PLASTIC was the answer?) grows ugly with age - and paper must be consistently replaced...While GLASS- well it must be cleaned, and can be broken However GLASS, looks and feels so nice!
I like drinking my soda or water from GLASS!

Seneca Glass use to buy the cullet and melt it down for some special colors my Dad tells me, so did Louie Glass. Your column often spark discussion at the Old Folks Home.

One more tip eat vegetarian or atleast reduce meat portions its good for the environment.
I dont think Hillary needs to go through med school in order to afford for bread and butter bob, There are very few people who find their true passion and have the drive to work for it...Keep up the good work hillary.
Hi Hillary, This is my first time on any blog but I wanted to say "Thank you" for posting the info on the Kemp Center for the Arts Blenko show last month. It was a wonderful experience and I hope Tim Alonzo has forwarded the photos he took of the reception and pieces we had on display. Would love to share some photos of my collection for your Blenko Project if you could forward an email address and would also like to extend an invitation to you and your family to visit with our family if you are in the north Texas area. I have enjoyed reading your blog site this afternoon and you are to be commended for takiing on such a challenge. Lots of good advice amoung the various articles you posted. As for the photo in the Kemp invitation, that one I shot myself. If you look closely you can see our longhorn cattle grazing out in the pasture inside the bottles. Giving up meat for a day a week- great idea, that and a good daily walk would make us all feel so much more energetic.
