Title

Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Blenko Glass in August issue of Southern Living!

This August's issue of Southern Living magazine describes the new Blenko Line as 'stylish shapes and bright hues' in their "Get Inspired - To Collect" section - and we can't argue! Visit http://www.blenkoglass.com/ or visit the Visitors Center in Milton to watch the craftsmen at work and tour the museum upstairs (and of course, buy some glass to take home!).

Phani: In case Hillary is too busy to answer for you, at least two dealers in San Jose sell BLENKO

HUGHES ART SCULPTURE SAN JOSE CA 408-887-4388
SANTA CLARA VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER SAN JOSE CA 408-885-2587

The Blenko website has dealers organized by state-- look in the left hand margin. Very convenient and user friendly. There are MANY dealers in CA but I only saw two in San Jose. Every time I am in a city with a shop, I go in and thank them for carrying BLENKO. I must confess that I usually save my purchasing for trips to the visitors' center in Milton (just because I have the option and it makes you feel like you are part of the BLENKO community).

Another question, why no dogs? Here is my hypothesis: Cat people aren't finicky and will purchase anything that represents a cat. Basically, cats have the same body type with the difference being color and length of fur. There is a "generic" look for cat and cat people BUY cat stuff.

As for dogs, there is no generic look for dog. Dog people usually want a dog that looks like their dog. Someone with a pit bull isn't going to want to purchase a glass dog that looks like a poodle (and vice versa). Dogs are harder to sell as there is no "generic look" for dog.

Let's see what Hillary's readers say-- If BLENKO made a dog, what would YOU want it to look like. I'm sure Hillary is saying "Bichon frise, bichon, frise." I'd only put my money down if it were a poodle. How about you?

We didn't publish your remarks to Sol, even in Hindu I was sure the words in that phrase were not nice.
Thank you for your support and for reading but Sol will eventually find another way to fill this hour of the day. (my prayer)

Failed to notice this. Will go back for a second look.
Is this a paid ad?
Regardless, great idea!
Are you responsible?

A dog would be nice and yes it should look like Morti with big brown cow eyes. I would have to have one if it was modeled after Morti. White with curls and cow brown eyes that look like they are talking to you. Roxie
