Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Laura Moul - Award Winning BLENKO photography

Laura Moul is a Putnam County Art Teacher, she is also an accomplished, award winning artist. Laura shares my 'love' of all things BLENKO. She uses her artist eyes to take amazing photographs at BLENKO.
These photographs can be purchased as postcards at BLENKO GLASS Visitors Center. You can also view her non-Blenko photography at her website http://www.moulphotography.com/ Many of her photos have been purchased for use in hospitals, office buildings, federal and state buildings. Laura's work continues to grow in popularity.

This weekend she was at the Cedar Lakes Arts and Crafts Festival. The top photos won a major award and are on display in a Southern Ohio Hospital Lobby (larger version). Laura's tent was a popular venue at the State Fair.

Is the handsome gentleman
with white hair your father?
I recall him from my time at the
WV Dept of Human Resources as always helpful.
We gave Laura's paper weights as Xmas gifts this year to my book club. She is indeed unique.

Catching up with the blog, I enjoy seeing photos of people and hearing of adventures. Thank you for taking time to share the highs and the lows.
Collecting Blenko is new to my office, and we all now read your column go to the visitors center and flea market together one each month. What is the next step?
Also when in August do you have the Blenko Collectors get together?
We want to meet everyone and become official. We did meet Rick Blenko and girls at Blenko, your praise of them was not over stated.
All this to say don't bother with ebony it isn't available.
