Those Blenko Brick- Who - What - When -

Reader writes:

You keep talking about the colorful Blenko bricks, and I bought them, they
had only the amber, I bought 75. I wanted other colors. When might these be
available and can you tell me, why and when did Blenko start to make brick, and are
they OK are building?
Samantha

Samantha My recommendation is you phone Don Lemley the Antique Glass Director and the most knowledgeable person at Blenko Glass re: this subject.

I was able to obtain the following information and a photo from the http://www.blenkoglass.com/ website. Webmaster Terri has very beautiful photos and a video that her husband Barry made about the production of the brick this was offered for sale at the Visitors Center if you can't find it there. Email me and I'll put you in touch with Terri.

The video is a must have - for teachers - and parents - having children, or even our neighbors watch the wonderful process of glass being made - well . . . .perhaps it will rekindle the desire to buy handcrafted and Made In USA.
