BLENKO GLASS at the
WV Museum of American Glass
Hillary:
Here is one of the photos I took at the WV Museum of American Glass today for others to enjoy on your blog. The museum represents glass from so many factories, not just BLENKO. However, there is a fine collection of BLENKO. I am sending this photo because it says so much about the BLENKO style and use of color. This little orange vessel spoke to me. It looks like he has legs and is trying to walk off that shelf! For those who love American Glass, the museum is a MUST SEE. Consider taking a detour through Weston, WV during your vacation this summer. http://wvmag.bglances.com/

If I could take photos as you do
I would give up my day job.
While in med school ( I went immediately after to law school) my love of all things art related grew as I dappled in many areas and discovered my signing AMX card was my greatest artist talent.
I do appreciate photo art.
You have a a marvelous eye for color and composition.
When your photos are available for the blog, I find myself returning to this day frequently to view the photograph. Each time I discover some new thought or color.
WVA I am also your fan.

A joy to see your work.
Bridgett, Annu, and Glassbug:
Thank you for the kind words about my photograph of BLENKO glass. A little praise goes a long way! Photographing glass is one of my favorite hobbies and I wish I had more time to do so.
I'm just now reading this on Sat. am. Maybe I can take some photos this weekend to send to Hillary. Last month at the BLENKO visitors' center, I acquired a new glass mushroom and he is just begging to be photographed next to his first-generation mushroom buddies.
The mushrooms are a 'blast from the past' most everyone appreciates the form. The trail batch was perfect in form and color. You (WV Janis) were one of the lucky few to make a purchase from the new batch .
I do hope they will (perhaps they have)make the mushroom a regular catalogue item. hjh
