Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Images You Will Want To Keep.

A short note to remind you Tom Hindman is the photographer responsible for the 15x20 photograph over my fireplace (Blenko Glass, of course). On his webpage you'll find many photos of glass. The new photos 'A Lover's Eve' are not of Blenko, but are so beautiful I wanted you to see them. hjh

Hillary I HATE YOUR BLOG, I HATE THE WAY YOU WRITE, I HATE THAT YOU ARE ENTHUSEASTIC ABOUT YOUR STATE
WHICH IS RANKED 50TH IN EVERYTHING.
YOU AND YOUR BLENKO ENTHUSIAT GROUP NEED TO WAKE UP SMELL THE ROSES AND FIND SOME FINE GLASS TO COLLECT.

Dear Mark Wilson:

Thank you for revealing your name. Now......Who are you? Why are you living in WV? Why do you read this blog if you don't like it? What kind of glass do you collect that is so fine? Do you maintain a blog that we can read (or do you just sit back and criticize others)? Do tell, just what do you like?

Those who rate WV as 50th in everything develop culturally biased surveys and just don't get it. Nothing is worse than outsiders coming in and telling us how awful we are! Let go of that "hate" or it will send your blood pressure through the roof....... PROMISE.

I just learned you are a "troll," someone who goes around writing incendiary messages to try to get people to blow up with rage over nonsense. So far, no blow ups!!!! Happy trolling! Try another, less civil group of bloggers.

There have been over 500 glass factories in West Virginia over the years. We are #1 in glass (and many other things). We are so glad you are in our fine state, hopefully paying taxes and spending money. Happy reading. Happy spending. Happy. Happy. Happy.

(WAKE UP AND SMELL THE RAMPS)

Mark
You are obviously home sick for your prior address. Go Home!
I moved from a big city to a small town almost a decade ago and love everything about the tri state area. Great inexpensive living and people that are warm and honest.
