Old Master Appoves of New Birthday Piece

Today, Blenko Glass http://www.blenkoglass.com/ presented me with the 2009 Birthday Vase - it's a vase Blenko is donating to West Virginia University ( the University has a complete set - and yearly Blenko donates a vase). My dear friend Blenko Glassmaster Mr. Everette 'Shorty' Finley requested I stop by and allow him to see the 2009 vase. Shorty immediately described the processes one would use to get the proper cuts and spoke about how 'nice' the stopper fit, also the shape of the vase (the design) received many positive comments from Shorty. The color is a perfect fit for this decanter! This one is a must have - IF you don't collect Birthday - you may still want to get down to Blenko Glass before 9am on June 20th to purchase this decanter. Bayliss Design, Blenko craftsmanship and color - a totally awesome combination!

I'll bet you made Shorty feel very special by taking the photos and this post.
Sweet, when I grow older, It is my desire to have a "hillary" develope an interest in my career and life.
On behalf of the over 65 male population of the Tri State.
Thank you.
Ryan G.
ps the blenko bottle w/ stopper is excellent, my wife will be in the long line for this one.

Is Everette getting smaller or are you growing taller?
Nice photo for a family albumn. Your interest in retired employees sparks my interest in collecting items made by individuals
how do I learn who made what?

Hilary, your color combination red and gold is my fave
Also the seabreeze color is more intense than I had imagined.
Tempting piece of glass, my highest praise to the design team.

Phani, the decanter is even more beautiful than the photographs this one must be seen for full appreciation of the design and color.
Getting to 'know' the retired workers has been, for me, the very best part of www.blenkoproject.org Shorty and many workers have become a part of my extended family.
I confess, it is the tall shoes, I'm usually in flats.
As always you are very kind and thoughtful with comments.
Thank you.
You may be the 'only' blog reader with an interest in OSU.
I expect to learn a great deal and Columbus is a great city.
Totally Awesome is the correct descriptive term.

Today my BF told me this quote:
Nothing can resist a love that will stake its very existence for its object
Beautiful isn't it - and it reminds me of you and your Blenko also.
Keep up the fight regardless. Blenko deserves to survive and continue and you Hilary need to know your work is appreciated by collectors and also people like me who just love 'pretty things' and things made by hand.

You get cuter each year and shortie looks younger each year.
Nice to learn he is still around.

The decanter isn't so big
Glasslady and Mr. Shorty are both very very petite people
I bet neither of them weight over 100 pounds.
