I recognize Bruce of Texas' photography.
Awesome photo Bruce.
Bruce,
Your combination of colors and the clarity always amaze me.
Do you take a bad photo? When I try to capture glass its usually a reflection of the flash and the colors become milky.
Tricks of the trade you want to share?
S.
Ok, first an apology to Winslow Anderson who should get the credit for these vases. I sent these in to the blog without finishing my research. Sorry
Bruce
As to the techniques, I am still learning with every frame I take. Thank goodness for digital cameras since I can shoot, download and critique before I set up the next grouping or just reshoot. I would suggest that you turn off the flash since every photo I have shot with one washes out the color just as you have experienced.
Bruce is very nice to take the credit for this error.
He sent a correction note more than 2 weeks ago.
This is my error and with luck by the time you read this we'll have it corrected.

What camera are you using?
cost?
For me adding the approx cost is good. If I see this item, I then know when I'm being taken, or its a good deal.

I don't understand about the error?

I am currently using my daughters Sony Cyber-shot 7.2 mega-pixel camera and boosting the light sensitivity setting to allow for non flash daylight shots that capture the correct color spectrum.
Price is hard to nail down. Most pieces I find are at what I consider to be a great price evidenced by the comments from the past that question whether I am telling a "fish story".
The mistake referred to the original posting of this picture which originally gave this piece design as being pre-designer in origin.
Hope this helps.
Bruce
