Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Just heard Rodney Wade is no longer with Blenko if this is true, who is co ordinating orders and making things happen for blenko?
Are they going to close?
This is very sad news.

This is a test to see if a comment will post. Who cares if someone is working or not working at Blenko, as long as they make glass weekly.

Happy for your family reunion time. Your 'old fashioned charm and moral code' is a part of what keeps me coming back, I like that you just seem to always love West Virginia as much as I do, and you care about the Blenko workers as people, it seems you care a great deal about people. You will make a wonderful doctor my dear.
Will the Milton flea market re build? My friends depend of the amish things I buy there for them.

How long does it take WVU to loose a game? You should be back by now.

I have used the online paper for a long time. Started reading blogs, because they were 'flashy' and on the lst page now its full of ads and junk and messy.
Not good
I sometime know change must happen
this time I think its (the on line changes to the paper) like when Bill Clinton left office and you knew nothing good was coming.

Dr Bob
Sol's box is right over top of Hilary's family seats.
Sol say she did not set with her parents.
He did not see her. Can you give more details?
Hilary are you holding back from us?
tsk tsk

I am young and I also don't like change -so don't blame your age. & I do 'loved' the Clintons!
The newspaper is trying to survive in a world where people get their news on line and its competitive (but hey I just made this up, I honestly don't know about the changes) Keep reading and let me know if I can do anything to help!
WVU Won the Game Thank you!
Sue Mullins,
This may surprise you but I CARE VERY MUCH about people NOT working at Blenko, These men and women have children and responsiblities and Blenko is their life work. Having Blenko close would greatly affect the entire community of Milton but it would be most horrible for the laborers, the glass workers for whom this is a SKILL they spent years perfecting.
I care, we all should care.

This blog can at time be mean, staler like, informative, friendly, & comforting, full of education. Let us work to remove the first 2 elements.
"Ekam sat, viprah bahudha vadanti"
"There is a single Truth but
the wise call it by different names."

Annu your words express so eloquently my opinion.

I embrass change, but Rick Blenko was the key to Blenko Glass why would they destroy their own family member? Then why destroy management team that is less than 2 years old, replace it with a 23 year old with freshly minted degree (4 year degree) from MarshalL? If these men were women we would think menopause.

Someone ask about reproductions?
Have they made a decison?
Will you keep us informed?
