Do you have stories about working at Blenko, do you recall the stories a relative or friend told of days at Blenko?
If so please share with the Heart of Glass blog.
The following is from Larry Thompson, his father Harry Thompson spent his life working with Glass in West Virginia and later in Indiana/

I have been getting conflicting answers on the person in the photo with Harry but the one they agree on is that the round bulb in the work bench under his hand is the tool he used to make the teardrop in the stemware like the one on the left in the photo. It is a rubber squeeze bulb with a metal tube added too it. He taught himself to make the the teardrop peace because he tried to make it the way he was told and the teardrop came out upsidedown. So he made the whole peace backwards.
Thanks
Larry T.

Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass
Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.
