Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

glasslady for me my group you are the marketing advisor what gives with Blenko?
Being busy is no excuse for not using an excellent marketing tool that cost the company nothing.
Oh wait! No one gets to travel, or be on TV, or get their name quoted. I can see why your blog would be of little interest.
Laughing me, we bought and bought and continue to buy most all items you suggest. When they close we will be more selective and buy the nicer older items. Being selective comes after hoarding and with education, glasslady we have grown in glass knowledge as you completed your med program.
Thank you from the tri state (ohio ) collectors, our group is out every other weekend in 2 vans, join us ?

Hillary
While I am not always impressed that you know everything, I am impressed with your willingness to ask others anything readers want or need to know.
That you admit lacking knowledge is charming, and disarming.
Don't let Blenko get you down.
These actions are not the Blenkos' or the long term employees.
Of this I am certain.

not Susan M. from Mud Creek Rd.and of the other Blog just so you know.

'Sticks n stones' . . . . did my weekly read of the Milton Blog re:BG.
Someone should tell the writer her best friend John Nickerson hasn't done glass in 3 or 4 years. He went back to his first love ceramics. A shop near our cabin carries his work. Excellent quality as one would expect from JN.
We will be in southern part of state on thursday for board meeting, I will take gift shop photos for you.
Keep the hopes high, Blenko may not be down or out!

I know nothing of Blenko investors.
Check with Blenko Glass 304 743 9081 to inquire about investor.
RE: My Dad - No he is not the investor, My Dad would most likely volunteer to invest if (1) he didn't have me as a full time dependent (2) he has not bought a Benz last year (3)and he has knowledge, My Mom would kill or divorce him immediately after he volunteered to invest.
My Dad could be described as Tall over 6ft, white hair and beard portly built.
I have no knowledge of Blenko and investors and no knowledge of any 'take over' now or planned.

If I had money I would be asking Blenko about investing.
Having Blenko made in WV, made in Milton by your neighbors should be important enough for all of us to step up.

Killing the messengers: Hilary or Katie from Blenko will not solve your problems.
Focus on the positive please, these two young girls, one with absolutely no reward, are giving hours daily to promote Blenko and attempt to have the factory function.
Throwing your mud at either solves nothing.
Use your energy more wisely.

If Blenko is closing, who do I contact to purchase one of the sofa from the 2nd floor?
That period furniture is something I like, the color while not my preference would be a conversation starter.
Let me know. I'll return weekly to check.

I HAVE NOT BEEN ALLOWED TO VIEW MY POST FOR A WHILE.
WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH THIS BLOGGER MACHINE?
WE HAVE BEEN CRITICAL OF BLENKO EMPLOYEES MAKE THAT NOT CRITICAL OF EMPLOYEES ONLY THE MANAGEMENT.
I BOUGHT SHEET GLASS LAST YEAR AND THE FELLA WAS WONDERFUL AT THE CONVENTION I CAME WITHOUT JOINING AND ALL WERE NICE. THE GIFT SHOP GIRLS SLENDER WITH DARK HAIR ARE BOTH DOLLS.
NO OTHER HUMAN CONTACT FOR ME AT BLENKO.
I DO FEEL ANY IDIOT CAN SEE WHAT THE PROBLEMS ARE. EMPLOYEES NOT THE PROBLEM. INEXPERIENCED YOUTHFUL LEADERSHIP SUCKS.
SURELY ONE OF THE OFFICE LADIES OR THE GLASS WORKERS WERE QUALIFIED TO LEAD? I SAY THIS ONLY AFTER LEARNING THERE WAS NO MBA OR OTHER HIGH DEGREE OR ANY RELATED DEGREE ON THE TABLE FOR QUALIFICATION.
