Bridgett; This Ebony Fostoria Chanticleer was made from 1953 - 1957 in ebony 1950 - 1958 in crystal and for a limited time in white or milk glass White some of the ebony were decorated with gold. Due to problems with mould design, there was significant breakage during cool down especially in the milk glass. Fenton art glass acquired the mould in about 2000 and made improvements to try to eliminate the breakage. One run in periwinkle blue were manufactured of which very few survived. These Fenton pieces are selling for $1500 - $2000. Thanks. larry@serenityantiques.com

Anonymous; Sorry this piece is not for sale. I paid $700.00 for this piece for my wife's birthday several years ago. I would have preferred the white or gold decorated, but these come on the market so seldom that you take what you can get when you can. I still would like to find the Fenton version ( less than 100 made) but have only seen 2 come on the market and sold for $1500.00 - $2000.00 each. One of these is or will be in the Fostoria Glass Museum in Moundsville WV.
