Truth is a Pathless Land
Ojai 2009 Autumn Dialogue and Study
Friday, October 9th - Sunday, October 11th 2009

The Krishnamurti Center at Pine Cottage

Space still available for this insightful weekend.

The KFA invites you to a three day intensive dialogue / study at Pine Cottage of the themes of Authority — Thinking for Oneself — Perception of Truth with an emphasis on what it means to ‘stand alone.’

The year 2009 marks the 80th anniversary of the dissolution of the Order of the Star by J. Krishnamurti in Holland in 1929. His momentous speech before thousands of members of the order of which he was the head has been called one of the great religious discourses in history. California author Henry Miller said, “No one since the Christ has given up as much as Krishnamurti.” The speech was the culmination of almost two decades of distancing himself from the organization that found him, nurtured, and educated him for a role called “The World Teacher.”

Krishnamurti’s declaration of independence is as relevant today as it was eighty years ago. Perhaps it is additionally relevant as religious fundamentalism, evangelical missions, and radical religious movements attract ever growing numbers of followers. The themes of ‘authority’ of all kinds, of ‘thinking for oneself’, and ‘perception of truth’ are perennial human issues. While Krishnamurti was setting himself free of psychological and religious authority at age thirty-four we today face our own similar challenges made more complex by a vastly more sophisticated psychological and religious cultural consciousness than eighty years ago.

For two and one half days a small group of participants will penetrate together the speech of 1929 and look deeply into our own minds to unravel the hidden depths of ‘authority’ and ‘truth.’ Study materials will be mailed out in advance of the event.

Program Fees: The Krishnamurti Foundation Fall Dialogue/Study tuition fee is $125.00. Payment in full is required upon registration.

Registration: On-Line registration can be made at the Krishnamurti website at: www.kfa.org

Accommodations: Reservations at the Pepper Tree Retreat can be made at: www.peppertreeretreat.com

I like the medallion, only as you already know I would wear it differently. I would have to pin it to my purse, coat, hat or scarf. Would have the need to let everyone see it. Could count how many to buy as gifts. You could just add that to what you already have on those items above. To the person with the slab glass, do something with them so that the sunshine filters thur the glass. I like them setting in windows. You have enough to make something beautiful. Put all the different colors together. They do look good in flower gardens. You got some pretty colors. Wonder if they would hold as a ceiling window? My daughters bathroom has a window in the ceiling that lets all kind of light in, I am always checking to see if the electric is on in there. Would be a pretty sight I am sure. Clored sunlight. Well today is friday so need to get house in order. Plan on transplanting some african voliets today. Hope it is not to windy or I will be making a mess inside. Noticed yesterday that the trees have almost got to peak colors. Buy the way the price on that necklace or key chain is not bad. Inexpensive Blenko. Everyone God Bless, Roxie
