Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

Your newspaper should be doing feature stories on Osburn and his successful venture.
Starting a company in these economic times is courageous
to succeed is unheard of, yet this young fella is standing strong.
Blenko also appears to be doing well. Keep up your daily support of glass arts in West Virginia.
Do more post about the small set ups. I bet Tamarck could guide you to some of the independent artist.
Keep on keeping on.

Just read annonymous' post where he called you a bigot and ignorant.
Annonymous, next time sign your comments so we can assess your qualifications as a judge of intelligence.
If Hilary is a bigot I am an even bigger bigot. I refuse to buy a car that doesn't have direct ties to the USA. Don't wear clothing without a union label, and believe me it is growing more difficult weekly to find items made in USA.
Global economy is a wonderful idea, if you live in China, India, or Mexico.

This is directed to all of those individuals who believe it appropriate to leave negative/nasty comments on this blog page and wish to hide behind the heading of anonymous. Besides being a irritation to those of us who come to this site to educate ourselves, share insights into finding and collecting Blenko, or just want to be inspired by the great photos, you should know that we don’t really care for your comments. You are welcome to your opinion of the world, its’ injustices and the like, but unless you have the courage to identify yourself with your comments I will continue to wonder why Hillary even bothers to give you a platform for your venom. On second thought, I do know why, that is because she is a decent person who you are taking advantage of. Most of us are very aware of Blenko’s current challenges through other sources. I would suggest that if you feel this strongly that you instead post a letter directly to Blenko management that outlines your concerns. I have yet to meet any Blenko management that did not give serious consideration to issues brought forth in letter form or through direct communication.
I am.

I am Ann Mullins and I write often with negative comments about my Blenko experiences I have yet to see one of those comments printed.
Hilary protects Blenko too much.
If a bowl doesn't sit without wabbling it should not be sold for $45. I should not have to check every item for chips, bubbles, or stability.
Blenko quality is at an all time low.
Blenko management is Blenko's business, deciding not to purchase inferior products is my business.
Your comment about Blenko management respondng is an untruth.
The management became angry when I complained on more than one occassion.
Mr. WH Blenko Jr had a quality control person, the person doing this job now should be allowed to retire or be given new glasses.
Thank you for allowing me to vent. I don't expect this to be published, but Hilary you know I am telling the truth.
Why do you choose not to publish my comments.
