Heart of Glass - Blenko Glass

Blenko Glass is a West Virginia treasure that spans generations. Nothing symbolizes the state of West Virginia better or more beautifully than Blenko Glass. We will discuss current and former craftsmen and designers and how important it is that Blenko and West Virginia glass be appreciated and valued by the younger generation.

My family collected Pilgram Glass when I was growing up in Ky
is this Pilgram?
If it is I have several pieces called cameo from my Mom's estate, I thought they were DOA (out of business) long ago.

Fenton is the WV company known for cameo.
Fenton although a factory does a number of handpainted, handcrafted items.
We discovered Fenton on EBay several years before we discovered
Glasslady and Blenko.
Could you mean Fenton, Cheryl? If so its off the Interstate near Ohio border, when we come to Blenko we always do Fenton . This spring we will include The Bronze Look as a destination.
Have any of you been to The Bronze Look?

Pilgrim Glass is the WV company known for Cameo Glass. Pilgrim has been out of business for some time. Ms Murphy, the former art directer of the Pilgrim Cameo department, now is working with Fenton Glass. Fenton Cameo is very nice, but they have yet to rise to the level of Pilgrim. Pilgrim has many many Cameo vases with many many layers of glass. Look it up. It is amazing!

Mr. P
Lets visit The Bronze Look before you decide to veto
the shop.
I googled the location - there is a state park within 7 miles with golf swimming and a spa.
Bronze Look is less than 100 miles from The Greenbrier Resort.
Could be a delghtful stop on a mountain weekend escape.

Thank you so much for answering. That is exactly what I needed to know. I can't wait to start using Blenko in my kiln, I know it will make some beautiful jewelry.

Thanks again and have a wonderful day.
